DIY-ABLE HEADBOARD IDEAS

HERE ARE A FEW UNIQUE HEADBOARDS THAT YOU CAN MAKE YOURSELF~VERY INEXPENSIVELY!
USE OLD SHUTTERS..... A BOOKSHELF....

LOVE THIS ONE.....USE
THESE FRAMES.......
THEY ARE THE ONES I HAVE OVER MY BED.
YOU COULD DO THIS WHOLE LOOK FOR UNDER $200.00!

HAVE A GARDEN THEMED ROOM? HEAD TO HOME DEPOT AND GET SOME PICKET FENCING!

I LOVE THIS ONE USING OLD DOORS......RECYCLING AT IT'S BEST!

THIS ONE AGAIN USES DOORS. THE CHEAP HOLLOW CORE DOORS YOU CAN THROW LIKE A FRISBEE! TURN THEM ON THEIR SIDE AND PAINT THEM OUT! VIOLA!
I THINK THIS WOULD BE GREAT USING CHALKBOARD PAINT SO YOU CAN WRITE THINGS LIKE "NOT TONIGHT" HA-HA!
IF YOU HAVE ANY INTERESTING HEADBOARD INSPIRATION, SEND THE PHOTOS MY WAY! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!

This is a photo of the headboard I made for my daughter. It was our old coffee table that I painted turquoise and antiqued. http://southernseven.blogspot.com/2008/03/painted-desk-and-headboard.html

Great ideas! Here is one of my favorite types of "salvaged" headboards.

Cool! I love headboards!

And I'm no stranger to something unique. I used an old 4'x 8' sign for mine.

What is the headboard made out of on the last photo...with the red gingham?? I have a room that has a door, window, or radiator on every wall. So I am trying to cover a 2nd door that isn't used and need a headboard tall enough. That one looks like it would work in my room. Thanks!!
