Linda K.

My good friend Linda called me yesterday with a tip on something she saw at JC Penneys. Don' t you love it when your friends find great treasures for you? I headed over there and came home with 3 of these decorative balls with letters and numbers on them! They are so "ME!" Better yet, they were on sale for $5.99 a piece! Thanks Linda!

Don't you just love them?

A happy customer!

I love seeing how people use the things I make and incorporate them in their own homes! Patricia G. sent me this picture today of her new pillow I made! Thank you so much for sending the photo my way! Enjoy!

looking for a recipe

I have searched high and low for a recipe I printed out yesterday off someones blog. It was for gingerbread cookies, or molasses cookies, one of those, and she gave a sugar free version using maple syrup. Now, when I want to make them, I can't find the recipe! Does anyone know what I am talking about, please help!
THANK YOU!

Getting Ready For Game Day!

What are your plans for Super bowl? My day today consists of cleaning the house, cooking, stocking the fridge with beer, and tomorrow making myself scarce! No girls allowed! No problem with me though, I'd rather be shopping! Have fun with the guys Chris!

Honey Bears

Hello! As many of you know, my sister is having a baby in May. I am throwing her a baby shower and going all out vintage themed. We don't know what she is having, so I will be incorporating blue and pink. If anyone has any fabulous ideas, please feel free to share! I would appreciate it! I am also begging and pleading for anyone that has empty honey bear jars, to send them my way! I want to do the above craft to hand out to everyone, and so I need a lot! If you have them and wouldn't mind sending them to me, I would be forever grateful! My address is

I HEART DONNA

MY SWEET FRIEND DONNA, WHO I HAVE NEVER MET, WROTE ABOUT ME ON HER BLOG TONIGHT! WHAT A SWEETHEART!

CHECK HER OUT HERE!

I heart a lot of things today!

OK, obviously I am feeling better. Good enough to do a little online shopping. I found this here, and I LOVE it! Think I need it for all those lovely bills that keep accumulating!

I heart burlap

Ok, I am loving burlap. It's cheap, gorgeous, and has so many uses! Here are a few tips for you when using burlap.

Burlap, once the fabric of feed bags, offers durability, sure. But fashion? You bet.
Burlap is back -- better than ever -- in an array of colors and patterns at rock-bottom prices. Look for it in widths from 36 to 50 inches and priced from $1.80 to $10 per yard.
At that price, it's a natural for big decorating projects as well as small ones.
See several creative project ideas below.
Use burlap as a temporary cover for damaged walls. Just staple it into place. This is also a good way to hide apartment walls you dislike.
Create simple rod-pocket drapery panels for big windows.
Fashion a quick cover for a rectangular table. Though the fabric can be sewn into a tablecloth, if you have a temporary table made from plywood, staple or tack onto the fabric to the sides or underneath the top.
Use burlap as a seasonal sunscreen stretched above a patio or deck.
Use burlap instead of decorative fabric to create formal-style pinch pleated draperies. Band the edges with grosgrain ribbon.
Stretch and staple burlap over worn bulletin boards. Hot glue braid or ribbon over the edges (to hide the staples).

Which one suits you today?

did you know?

Don't you all even try and act like you all ready knew this either. I had to go into the kitchen and check this out for myself. Whoever looks at the end of your aluminum foil box? You know when you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time.Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box. And written on the end it said, Press here to lock end. Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place.. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can't count the number of times the Saran wrap roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up.I'm sharing this with my friends. I hope I'm not the only person that didn't know about this.

hearts available

I had a lot of people ask me where I got my hearts I used in my "love" garland. Well, now you can have them too! I have 4 sweet bunches available here! Head on over and spread the love!

Cupcakes

Another reason why my friend Margo is superwoman~she had these 3 homemade cupcakes sitting in little glass domes waiting for her kids when they got home from school! What a good Mommy!

Coffered ceiling dreamin'

I would LOVE (got that?) Coffered ceilings in my kitchen. Our ceilings are not that high, but I think it is do-able. I'll keep you posted to see if I can convince my husband that he needs another project!

I HEART Zebra Rugs

I am thinking of switching out my cowhide for a zebra hide under my dining room table. What do you all think? I just love the look of them in all these rooms! (My dining room is the top pic.)

Remember Margo?

Margo is a good friend of mine who has amazing talent and energy! I posted pictures earlier of her house decorated for Christmas. Today we had coffee and of course I had to take MORE pictures because her decorating skills always amaze me! She is super Mom raising 4 small children her and her husband Doug adopted. They are getting ready to do remodel number 4, 558. Just kidding. I can't wait to share photos of her house AGAIN after the remodel! To me it's perfect as is. But, a girl gets bored and has to rip out walls right?
