I am like a little kid on Christmas morning when I get to go to this flea market! Not only do I get to go, alone, I also designate this my "day off" from the family

(because we all know we need them, just admit it!)

and I get to sit at Starbucks, alone with my own thoughts,

and my own latte, and if I want a pumpkin scone,

I will get one without feeling guilty for eating the 500 calories.

Then I get to shop around University Village.

For those of you that are from this area, you know how special it is.

For those of you that don't, let me tell you.

They have an Anthropologie, a quaint little garden store, a

Red Mango (if you have never had their frozen yogurt you are seriously missing out!)

a H & M, a Juicy Couture, a Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn kids, Land of Nod, Miller and Pollard, and the list goes on and on.

When I am done there, I head over to City People's which is the cutest most eclectic mix of things. Home decor, clothing, and even a hardware store, all in one owned by the friendliest people!

On my way home I may just stop into a thrift store or two.

I know you all know those days and how few of them we get! (or maybe it's just me!)

I wouldn't miss this day for anything, my day, ALONE!

I love, love, love decorating kids spaces!

I already have Savannah's room done in my head for a surprise re-do when she turns 13 ...

(but you'll have to wait 3 years to see that!)

These rooms and accessories from Posh Tots always amaze me!

They are usually over the top and way out of my price range, but I still find it fun to look at their website!

On another note, the weather here in the Pacific Northwest has cooled down to a remarkable 95 degrees.

Now I hate to be a complainer, but it's just too darn hot~still!

off to the lake, again....

I think we have gone through 3 bottles of sun block in the last week!

~106 degrees~

that is what the temp. was here yesterday.

Today it's only supposed to be 101 degrees~only.....

I am so lucky to live on a lake where we have been spending hours, (like all day) in the water.

But, these pool images from Country living are pretty tempting!

I have to admit, the only blue plates I have in my own home are some I use on the 4Th of July.

However, I do think these beautiful pieces are so gorgeous!

I love all the different patterns and how great they look together even when they don't match exactly!

Sometimes when I make things for my etsy shop I fall in love and it's hard not to keep things for my own home!
