~garage doors~

I would love a new garage door.
I know that might sound weird, but it's the first thing you see when you enter our driveway.
I have been looking online at some ideas and found these.
I love them all~decisions, decisions....

All images from Garaga

What we have now is similar to this last one.
But, it's on it's last leg.
What I really like are the ones that are curved on top, but don't know if that will happen.
Which one is your favorite?
Thank you to Garaga for sharing their residential garage door photos!
xoxo

I love the first garage door. If I could replace mine, I'd go with that one!
I love your blog and your home!

I like the ones with the curved tops that look like carriage house doors. You know which one I mean? Showed them to the Mr, and he sort of rolled his eyes and sighed at the same time. So I am guessing I am stuck with what we have now. Nondescript , no style at all, serviceable garage doors. Sigh....
Good luck on getting pretty ones.
Hugs, Gee

Love all the ones with the handles in the middle as if they were carriage house doors. If you want the curved top, then you are talking garage remodel, because that's the wall, not the door, right? How hard could it be? Where's the sledge hammer......

I totally get wanting to replace the garage door, I'm currently trying to convince my hubby to replace ours -- it can really change the way the face of your home looks!

Just buy the black hinge things and handles at Lowes....they will look just like the ones in the pics!!

I bet you could construct a "cornice"? or something to give the illusion of an actual curved top. ?

I'm all about garage doors. I agree with you - they are one of the first things you see as you approach most homes. So why not have them looking good...

Thought you might enjoy this makeover I did of a garage door...

I love it because it looks like a French Door but it's a functioning garage door.

Have a great one!

I think they are so pretty when they are decorated with handles and hinges...we didn't get windows in our as I thought our son would break them with a basket ball..now I regret it. Going to put a pergola with a climbing rose bush over ours...future post :)

We have a curved look to our garage doors but our doors don't have windows. I think I would get ones that did if we ever have to replace them. I love the carriage door style look!

The garage doors are one of the most important safety features in your home. However, you may take them for granted and thus neglect to service and maintain the garage doors until it is too late and you need to carry on a full-fledged garage gate repair.

I do agree with you. Garage doors are mostly the focal point of every house from the outside view. Garage doors are big and it takes up half of the facade so, it really says a lot about the household. If replacing your garage doors would take too much time, money, and effort, you can still add handles and hinges to make it look different.

It really would depend on the style of your house, since you don’t want it to appear as if it’s a clunky addition just because you liked that particular garage door. As for my favorite one, I would pick the carriage door on the 3rd pic. But then again, it’s more of I like the whole house and I think the carriage doors fit perfectly with the entire theme.

The third one does have that classy classic feel to it, probably because of the brickwork and the roofing. Though I would have gone with a darker mahogany color for the doors rather than the one they used in the picture. Still looks good, regardless.
